The SilverSneakers Stability: Booster Pack 1 is designed to inspire ideas for creating effective exercise combinations to train balance and stability following the principles of the five-segment format.

A new 30-minute sample class demonstrates balance drills and exercise variations to train static balance, dynamic balance and walking gait, and the sensory system. The education section that follows highlights sensory system training for visual skills. The benefits of including variations of eye exercises to improve kinesthetic awareness and proprioception are discussed.

A well-prepared class that provides intensity variations will engage participants by helping them improve their strength and maintain a functionally independent life. This course will discuss the adverse effects of age-related muscle loss and the benefits of strength training. Techniques for creating progression and regression variations for strength exercises will be demonstrated. Most importantly, we will examine how to use different teaching methods to create a supportive and inclusive environment for a positive group exercise experience.
