Course introduction
Completion of online Foundations training, specifically Unit 4, has laid the ground work for understanding music identity, cueing and safe exercise selection. This course builds on that base knowledge by providing practice with various drills that focus on the skill related components of fitness: agility, balance, coordination, speed, reaction and power
Course learning objectives
Upon completion of this course work, you will be prepared to:
Explain the benefits of teaching exercise to fitness music.
Identify the beat and use the 8-count and 32-count phrases to create exercise combinations.
Demonstrate a verbal and visual cue timed with the music.
Apply the formula for safe exercise selection to create an exercise combination.

Step One: Review the content
The Fundamentals of Teaching Group Fitness online instructor training includes four learning units and corresponding lessons. All content, including videos and quizzes, is required. After reviewing the course material, you must successfully complete the final assessment.
