Lesson 2.5: Cool-Down

Cool-Down

This segment can be performed seated or standing. While a traditional Cool-Down may not be necessary in a SilverSneakers Yoga class, it provides an opportunity to slow the pace and prepare participants for the Final Stretch. Consider incorporating core strengthening, balance poses, coordination exercises or breathwork to set the stage for deeper stretches.

Instructors can also include movements and drills that support cognitive function. Encourage participants to reduce movement intensity and slow their breathing to help transition smoothly into the Final Stretch.

  • 5-Pointed Star
