A healthy diet is beneficial physically, mentally and emotionally. It is important, to understand the challenges to optimal nutrition in the over 65 population. Instructors can help class participants overcome obstacles to healthy eating. Using appropriate tools within one’s scope of practice, you can empower class participants to increase nutrient rich foods while being mindful of total caloric consumption and be a positive influence for small changes to promote optimal aging.
