Welcome to the SilverSneakers® Program Champion Onboarding training. The purpose of this training course is to prepare you for success in your role as a Program Champion. You will learn how to represent Tivity Health™ and engage with the community at local events and educational programs. You will also receive instructions and job aids to help you complete the administrative responsibilities associated with your role, and learn more about how to support instructors and interact with members, potential members, and other Tivity Health partners.
Course Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course you will be able to:
- Define the Tivity Health mission and vision.
- List the SilverSneakers class formats.
- Complete administrative tasks related to the Program Champion role.
- Demonstrate SilverSneakers format classes to event audiences.
- Engage with members and potential members through pathways such as event participation and educational presentations.
- Execute event logistics, including preparing, attending, and reporting feedback.
Course Directions
Step One: Review the content
The Program Champion onboarding includes two learning units and corresponding lessons. To progress through the lesson material, click “next” at the bottom of the page. You can review your completed lessons through the table of contents at any time during the course.
Step Two: Complete the assessment
All content, including videos, is required. After reviewing the course material, you must successfully complete the final assessment. You will receive 1 Tivity credit for completing this course. No external CECs are offered.
Step Three: Access the Program Champion Resource Page
After completing the course, access the Instructor Resource page. Here you will find job aids, videos, event resources, and other information.
Step Four: Receive your onboarding kit and plan your professional development
After completing this course you will receive your Tivity Health “Starter Kit,” which will include 2 shirts (one polo and one t-shirt) and a name badge. You will also have access to all current and ongoing online training courses at no cost.
