Course Introduction

The SilverSneakers Yoga training course provides a beginning framework for leading yoga classes for older adults. You will learn how to adapt yoga poses for specific limitations and conditions and how to program exercises for flexibility improvements and stress reduction. 

Course Learning Objectives

After completing this module, you will be able to:
 
  • Identify the health and fitness goals of SilverSneakers Yoga
  • Describe the SilverSneakers Yoga target audience
  • Create safe and effective choreography segments 
  • Describe the five (5) class segments of SilverSneakers Yoga
  • Apply leadership and teaching skills to the SilverSneakers Yoga format
